Day 01 :

Kathgodam to Munsiyari (Drive – 9 to 10 Hours)

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a pickup near Kathgodam Railway Station at 6 AM.
From here, embark on a scenic drive of approximately 290 km to reach Munsiyari (2,200 meters / 7,200 feet).

The journey takes you through the lush landscapes of Kumaon, passing charming hill towns like Almora, Bageshwar, and Thal. Along the way, witness the mesmerizing views of the Himalayas, winding roads, and pristine rivers.

By evening, you’ll arrive at Munsiyari, a picturesque town known as the gateway to the Johar Valley. Check into your hotel, relax, and enjoy the local ambiance before resting for the night.

Day 02 :

Munsiyari to Khaliya Top Trek (Drive – 5 km | Trek – 6 km)

After an early breakfast, take a short 5 km drive to Balati Bend (2,700 meters / 8,850 feet), the starting point of the Khaliya Top Trek.

The trek covers a 6 km ascent through dense oak and rhododendron forests, gradually revealing breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys. As you climb higher, you’ll reach the expansive Khaliya Meadow (3,500 meters / 11,500 feet), offering stunning views of Panchachuli, Rajrambha, Nanda Devi, and Nanda Kot peaks.

Settle into your campsite for an overnight stay under a starlit sky, with crisp mountain air and the peaceful sounds of nature.

Day 03 :

Viewpoint Visit & Return to Munsiyari – Drive to Patal Bhuvaneshwar via Birthi Waterfall

Wake up early to hike to the Khaliya Top Viewpoint, where you’ll witness a 360-degree panoramic view of the Himalayas bathed in golden morning light.

After soaking in the beauty, begin your descent back to Balati Bend and drive back to Munsiyari. From there, embark on a drive towards Patal Bhuvaneshwar (160 km, approx. 6-7 hours).

En route, stop at the majestic Birthi Waterfall, a stunning 126-meter-high cascade surrounded by lush greenery. Upon arrival at Patal Bhuvaneshwar, check into your accommodation and rest for the night.

Day 04 :

Patal Bhuvaneshwar to Kathgodam (Drive – 7 to 8 Hours)

On the final day, explore the mystical Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave Temple, an underground limestone cave with intricate stalactite and stalagmite formations, believed to hold deep mythological significance.

After the visit, begin the return journey to Kathgodam, enjoying the scenic landscapes one last time before reaching your destination by evening, marking the end of an unforgettable Himalayan adventure.
