Day 01 :

Drive from Kathgodam to Munsiyari (7,200 ft) – 280 km | 10-12 hrs

Your journey begins with a long yet stunning drive from Kathgodam to Munsiyari, passing through lush valleys, dense forests, and charming hill towns like Almora and Thal.

The road winds through the Himalayas, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks. Munsiyari, the gateway to high-altitude treks, welcomes you with a panoramic view of the Panchachuli Peaks.

Day 02 :

Drive from Munsiyari to Rilkot (10,500 ft) – 50 km | 4-5 hrs

After breakfast, a scenic drive takes you deeper into the mountains to Rilkot, the last motorable point. En route, you pass Lilam and Martoli, small villages with rich history and traditional Himalayan charm.

Rilkot, located along the Gori Ganga River, serves as the starting point of your trekking adventure.

Day 03 :

Trek from Rilkot to Panchhu/Ganghar (11,800 ft) – 13 km | 6-7 hrs

Your trek begins as you follow a well-defined trail alongside the river. The path gradually ascends through alpine meadows and sparse forests, offering mesmerizing views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape.

You reach Panchhu/Ganghar, a scenic campsite surrounded by towering peaks. Enjoy a night under the starry sky in your tents.

Day 04 :

Trek from Panchhu/Ganghar to Nanda Devi Base Camp (4750.M) – 7 km | 4-5 hrs

A challenging yet rewarding day as you ascend towards the Nanda Devi East Base Camp. The trail consists of 4 km of ascent and 3 km of descent, taking you through rocky terrains, moraines, and pristine meadows.

As you approach the base camp, the majestic Nanda Devi (25,643 ft) comes into full view, an awe-inspiring sight that makes the effort worthwhile. Spend time soaking in the beauty before settling into your campsite.

Day 05 :

Trek to Glacier (13,500 ft) & Return to Panchhu/Ganghar – 13 km | 6-7 hrs

Start the day with a short 3 km trek to explore the glacier region near the base camp. The landscape here is surreal, with glacial streams and vast meadows offering spectacular views of the Himalayas.

After taking in the surroundings, return to base camp for lunch and then begin your 7 km descent back to Panchhu/Ganghar.

Day 06 :

Trek from Panchhu/Ganghar to Rilkot – 13 km | 5-6 hrs

Retrace your steps along the scenic route, crossing mountain streams and alpine forests. The trek back to Rilkot is easier as you descend gradually, enjoying the serene Himalayan landscapes one last time before reaching the motorable road.

Day 07 :

Drive from Rilkot to Munsiyari – 50 km | 4-5 hrs

Say goodbye to the remote high-altitude trails as you drive back to Munsiyari. Once you arrive, you can relax at your hotel and reflect on your incredible trek.

Day 08 :

Buffer Day – Explore Munsiyari & Hike to Khaliya Top (11,500 ft) – 6 km one way

If the buffer day is not needed during the trek, you can use it to explore Munsiyari. A great option is a hike to Khaliya Top, a beautiful vantage point offering 360-degree views of the Panchachuli Peaks and the surrounding Himalayan range. Alternatively, you can visit local attractions like Birthi Waterfall or the Munsiyari Tribal Museum.

Day 09 :

Drive from Munsiyari to Kathgodam – 280 km | 10-12 hrs

The adventure comes to an end as you drive back to Kathgodam, cherishing the memories of your incredible journey through the Himalayas.
